Crossfit Ergon opened its doors in May of 2015. After two years of business, Cara Lionetti moved to Clarksville to purchase the gym, with the goal of building a member base that exudes community, professionalism, and commitment to health. Since November of 2018, Crossfit Ergon has more than doubled in size, allowing for more equipment, classes, and an outdoor training area to accommodate members' growing desire to get healthy and fit in a thriving community.

I have been an athlete my entire life. I was a competitive gymnast from the age of 6 to 16, comp team cheerleader in high school and college, and easily transitioned into the fitness industry in 2001. I have been certified in all fitness formats, from IM=X Pilates and Yoga to Group Fitness (cycling, LesMills, Silver Sneakers, Kids’ Fitness) to Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching… to, finally, CrossFit. After experiencing a season of burn-out from the bodybuilding style fitness, I enter CrossFit Ergon on its’ opening day... and never turned back. Functional fitness reignited a passion for health, and athletic competition, which I hadn’t felt in a long time.

Upon moving to Italy 9 months later, I began training for competition and was blessed to be able to compete alongside the top master athletes in the country. I plan to continue to pursue continuing education as a CMS (Certified Movement Specialist) and continue learning how to make our members stronger and healthier for life. More than anything, I want to teach each individual that with hard work, full effort, and a positive mindset, you can achieve whatever goals you decide to take on.

Sports have been a mission for my entire life. I was a former sprinter at a national level (100, 200, 400 mt). I changed to soccer, which became a passion, and I had the opportunity to play at the semi-professional level. It gave me the chance to be formed by Sampdoria, a Series A team, one of the best youth teams of the Italian league. After the age of 19, I decided to travel, to broaden my horizons. I lived in England, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Egypt, Spain, Zanzibar and Italy.

Throughout the years, the one constant has been my love for sport... from basic weightlifting to beach volley, beach tennis, half marathons, 5k runs, archery, ski, snowboard, biathlon... and now, CrossFit. A couple of years ago I had my first contact with CrossFit and I immediately fell in love with the community. Since then I have been continuing my education through OPEX Fitness in order to work on individual prescription for people with differing athletic goals--from moms and business men, to specific sports training, to military goal training. The community, the comradery, the results that smart fitness gives you with your full dedication... are all incredible. My goal is to integrate my sports background and my education with functional fitness to build better, more well-rounded, humans. And, to make people love burpees.

I have been competitive my entire life, even with myself. I grew up playing sports, but in college began competitively racing (5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Spartan Races) and weightlifting on my own. In college, I studied biomedical engineering and chemistry with the goal to work in the field of genetic disease research to create drugs to cure/reverse genetic diseases. My underlying motivation was just that I always wanted to help people become healthier. In my senior year of college, I also discovered CrossFit, and it has changed my life ever since.

I soon after realized that my athletic abilities were a gift, and I could use them to motivate and coach people to healthier lives through CrossFit. A few years later upon marrying my husband and becoming a military wife, I realized my new career coaching CrossFit gave me more purpose and joy than any nerdy lab work I had done. Through coaching CrossFit, I’m blessed to use my biomedical/physics/chemistry knowledge and competitive drive to personally work with athletes, motivating and directing them to healthier lives and overcoming their personal diseases at the same time. I look forward to connecting with each of my athletes on their fitness journey!

I played volleyball for 8 years competitively and managed to claim the title of two state championships. After I decided to no longer play, I realized I had no idea how to stay in shape. And I most definitely did not have healthy eating habits. As the months and years went on, I ended up gaining around 50+ pounds. In this time, I was pursuing a career in firefighting. I was barely passing physical agility tests or performing my job duties with the strength and speed I needed. I constantly felt weak and inadequate. But I had no idea how to get on the right track. After leaving my first fire department in Alaska, and moving to Clarksville with my husband, I had gained another 30 pounds. A total of 80 pounds in weight gain. I could barely walk up to the second story in my home without getting winded. My goal was to obtain a career with Clarksville Fire Rescue, but there was absolutely no way I would pass the physical agility test at 250 pounds.

April of 2016, I walked into CrossFit Ergon with a dream in my mind. I would not only pass that physical agility test, I would make a statement. In 2018 I was blessed with the opportunity to test for Clarksville Fire Rescue. Not only did I pass the physical agility test, I broke the record for the female time. After losing 75 pounds for my dream, my passion; the blood, sweat, and tears paid off. I was hired on with Clarksville Fire Rescue. I was put on this earth to help people. Whether it be on their darkest day. Or teaching them to fall in love with what they're capable of accomplishing. CrossFit Ergon changed my life. I can’t wait to help you make the same change. To be a better you.

I grew up in Texas playing sports - mainly baseball and football as well as MMA. In high school, I injured my hand and had to have a plate and screws put in it. I didn't know what I was really going to do after that, until one day I just didn't like how out of shape I got and didn't like just going to a random gym and lifting on my own, so I decided to walk into a box that was right across the street from the college I was going to and signed up. After my first week I was immediately hooked, the people were awesome, and it was almost like a family away from home, like being on a team, that no matter what the clock said or what weight you were doing everyone was encouraging each other.

6 months later on May 20, 2013, I joined the U.S. Army and CrossFit has definitely been a big part in staying fit for the Army. Now my wife and mother back in Texas have recently started CrossFit and it has helped them both already start realizing they can do things and reach goals they never thought they could. Now as well as continuing to improve and reach more goals for myself, I want to help others achieve their own goals and continue to move forward in fitness, health, and everyday life.

I have enjoyed sports my entire life. I have played many different ones; soccer and basketball being the two that I’ve played from pre-K until high school. While in college I took an ROTC physical training course as an elective. I enjoyed the comradery and competitiveness of the program so much that I enlisted in the US Army. Two deployments and PCS moves later, the effects of the military life were wearing down on me.

After researching the rehabilitative effects of CrossFit, I drove to the nearest affiliate and joined on the spot. Being a Medic, it’s my job to help Soldiers maintain physical readiness and Coaching CrossFit has shown me how fortunate I am to be able to personally work with athletes and watch them improve and progress with good coaching. It’s definitely something I don’t always get to experience during my day job but has helped me provide Soldiers and athletes with the proper understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation through functional fitness.

I was born in Tokyo, Japan, and grew up in Texas where I played soccer and volleyball. From a very young age, I have had a heart for teaching and helping others. I hold State of Texas and State of Tennessee teaching licenses for K-12 in Music and Physical Education. I moved to the Houston area after college and started my career teaching choir and also private voice and piano lessons. The students I worked with range in age from 4-19 years old.

In 2011, my cousins opened up a CrossFit Box and invited me to join. I felt a little out of my element and hated the fact that I was so out of shape I had to modify almost everything. Thankfully, I didn't let my pride get in my way. I went all-in with an 8-week challenge and seeing the progress I made from the beginning to the end had me hooked. The community that is forged in a CrossFit box is what I needed to make friends in a new city and have people who would show me some accountability. In 2015, I gained the nutritional tools and discipline and since then have lost over 50 lbs body fat. My journey to become a happier healthier me has pushed me to become certified to teach PE and get my CrossFit Level 1. My passion for teaching and fitness work well together. I want kids to have fun and learn that moving your body brings about so many good things from better health to better mental focus.

I was born and raised in the GREAT state of Georgia. I spent my entire childhood playing baseball, up until I got into high school and I joined ROTC.This also influenced me to do 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons, and also the reason I joined the Army in 2014.

I moved to lovely Clarksville TN in April of 2015. Me and my wife spent a long time trying to find a good environment to work out and not feel judged! And we found the best thing since sliced bread, CrossFit Ergon! We fell in love almost instantly. And I was so influenced by the community and coaches, I decided to get my CrossFit level 1 certification so I could also coach others and see the results they achieve! Now all I wanna do everyday is help somebody achieve the step in their fitness goals! My main goal is to get athletes to DANCE!!!

Originally from a little town outside of Raleigh, NC called Bunn is exactly what you would think - small town feels and vibes where everyone knew everyone. I grew up in the equestrian world, riding horses - more specifically barrel racing - since I was 5 all the way through high school. It was a family event that took us all around the states going to different rodeos and even to the World Championiship when I was a teenager.

As a child, I knew I wanted to help people and chose to go into healthcare. I currenlty have a career as a radiology technologist performing CT and MRI at an imaging facility. In addition to this, I am also an Army wife; but nothing compares to being a mom to the most awesome little boy Carson.

I started doing Crossfit in 2016 by finally agreeing to try it out with my husband and quickly grew to love it (more like a love/hate relationship). I started going regularly once we moved here in September of 2017 and attending Crossfit Ergon, honestly more for the community then the fitness. The community with CrossFit was so lifechanging for me, I knew I wanted to try to do the same for other people. After being an athlete at Ergon for a couple of years, I obtained my CF-LV1 and started shadowing other awesome and amazing coaches and quickly realized that healthcare is not the only way to help people and coaching was another gateway that I could do this. So I'm here to help change people's lives one WOD at a time at Crossfit Ergon!

I was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, basically raised my whole life in Waynesville Missouri. I am a mother, manager of Starbucks, and Crossfit athlete. I grew up running track in school but after school I strayed away from fitness until I was introduced to Crossfit in 2013, After five years into my fitness journey my passion had grew and I knew I wanted to expand my knowledge by attending CF level 1 certification at CF Mayhem. I began shadowing coaches after obtaining my Certification. Then I began coaching beginner CrossFit classes. I was offered a career advancement in Starbucks and was moved to fort Campbell TN. After moving and getting my new life settled I started to attend my new CrossFit gym. After several months of attending Crossfit classes, I was given the the opportunity to gain more knowledge and Started coaching at my new Crossfit Home, Crossfit Ergon!

I was an all-star cheerleader from high school til after college. I also coached many different level teams. Not only did I LOVE competing, but it was awesome seeing the athletes gain new skills, and the excitement that came with it.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE competing, but when I had my son I realized that I needed to find something to sate my competitive nature while allowing him to be apart of it. That’s when my future hubby introduced me to the Crossfit world. I started off with focusing on getting fit after the pregnancy and competing, but I found along the way that I really wanted to help others reach their own goals. Whether that was getting their gains on, or just to lead a healthier lifestyle with awesome people! Anything is possible with determination and consistency!
